[Michlib-l] Make Someone's Day!

Hello!

While the last 15 months have been difficult, libraries and library staff
have shown tremendous resilience, creativity, and grit. That should be
recognized!

What better way to make someone's day and acknowledge all their excellent
work this year than to nominate them for an MLA Award? If you watched last
year's virtual Awards Ceremony, you know that it was a special night for
the honorees and the people who nominated them. It was also a lovely way
for all of us to come together as a community and celebrate the work that
libraries do.

Nominations are open until June 25 for the following categories:

   - Lifetime Achievement Award
   - Public Librarian of the Year
   - Heart of a Champion
   - Frances H. Pletz Award for Excellence in Service to Youth
   - Support Staff of the Year
   - Rising Star

We've streamlined the nomination form and we welcome your nominations.  You

This year's awards ceremony will premier on Facebook Live at 7 pm on
Wednesday, October 13.  Wouldn't it be great if we had the opportunity to
honor someone from your library? (You can also nominate yourself, that is
OK too!)
