Job Summary:
Provides leadership and management of library user service operations including circulation, communications, course reserves, stacks maintenance, library facility security and upkeep and customer service excellence. Supervises, hires, trains and coaches library support services staff in a collaborative team environment. Participates in and leads usability studies and user assessment activities to enhance the overall user experience with library spaces, collections and services. Builds strong relationships with faculty, campus colleagues and library staff to ensure access to library services, resources and space in support of student success. Develop content for the library website and creates online user guides. Must demonstrate a commitment to the diversity of a multi-cultural population, as well as work effectively in a team-based environment, seeking continuous improvement and adherence to the community college philosophy.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

Demonstrated supervisory experience

Demonstrated experience providing library services

Demonstrated experience using an integrated library system

Demonstrated experience with usability in libraries and user-centered design

Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's Degree from an American Library Association (ALA) accredited Master's Program

Demonstrated experience in a higher education environment

Demonstrated experience with higher education software applications (Banner, D2L, Springshare)

Demonstrated experience working in a team-based environment
