[Michlib-l] Virtual Small Business Programs from the Ypsilanti District Library

We've partnered with the Ann Arbor Area SCORE office to offer FREE virtual
small business programs. You do NOT need to have a YDL library card to
attend these programs, but you DO have to register for each program in
order to get the link. Feel free to share these programs with your
community, all are welcome to attend.

*Dollars and Sense of eCommerce Wednesday, April 7   6:30 pm - 8:00 pm*

Interested in eCommerce? This program, will discuss the cost of eCommerce
to a business, including payment apps, accounting software, and what to
look for in an online banking service. We’ll look at two finance software
systems and their services for a Point-of-Sale system: Square vs. Stripe,
and the apps they support.

*Virtual Road Map to Your Local Hauling/Junk Removal Business Wednesday,
April 14   6:30 pm - 8:00 pm*

If you’re interested in starting a small hauling or junk removal business,
this program is for you!  We’ll discuss the range of services that can be
offered in hauling and junk removal businesses. Topics covered include:
capital equipment, facilities, licensing and insurance requirements.
You’ll also get information on key elements in starting or formalizing your
business: critical success factors, basics of funding, and banking.

*Growing your Business Internationally Monday, May 17  6:30 pm - 8:00 pm*

Looking for markets outside the U.S?  Come learn more about exporting from
Romy Ancog, Lead Export Finance Manager of the US Export Assistance Center,
U.S. Small Business Administration.  He’ll talk about why you should
consider exporting now, how to sell safely in the international market,
which federal and state resources can help you, and potential loans and
grants available for exporters.
