Thanks to everyone who attended the Summer Library Program discussion
today at MI PR Group.  Unfortunately, due to my laptop acting up I was
not able to record it but the text file was able to be saved and is

Learning Sessions
Are you Instragram savvy?  Know your e-newsletter rocks?  Are well
versed in community surveys?  Have another idea?  We are looking for you
to lead a learning session - this is an informal presentation to help
the group learn about a marketing topic.  Please let me know if you have
ideas or better yet will volunteer to lead a learning session.  

New Library PR and Marketing work group
I am proud to be a member of the new Library PR and Marketing work group
through MLA.  Our goal as a group is to find and implement creative ways
to promote Michigan libraries at a large scale. We also plan to do a
state-wide, multi-year public relations campaign to promote the
importance and relevance of libraires – and educate residents, including
elected officials and legislators, about library services that go beyond
books.  If you are interested in joining let Rachel Ash know at
rfash at milibraries.org.  

We will also be using this listserv as a way to bounce ideas, gather
input and share our progress so be on the lookout for more.
