[Michlib-l] LM Announces ARPA grants!

The Library of Michigan is pleased to announce twenty-four American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) grants for the 2021/2022 fiscal year. APRA funding is helping the Michigan library community to support their communities by responding to pandemic needs as well as related economic needs. LM has approved twenty-four out of sixty-one proposals for a total of $4,004,730.00.

The LM APRA grant program included both an equipment focus and a capacity focus. The equipment grants, for public libraries, are intended to increase the capacity of grantee libraries to safely provide services and content to community members. The capacity grants, for statewide library organizations, are intended to both increase the capacity of public libraries to provide internet access and virtual services and to increase the capacity of public and academic libraries to provide virtual content to their communities. Twenty-one grants were awarded in the equipment program and three grants were awarded in the capacity program. Information on how to participate in the capacity grants will be coming soon.
