CSLP PSA's
Where can you find agreeable penguins, disinterested nautiluses, and fish that stubbornly resist revealing their innermost thought? Why in this year's PSA!

Full PSA Spanish Youtube link: https://youtu.be/0DjbTp-HFgQ
The "base" files are available for your libraries to add their own logo or text if this is something they are interested in doing. These files can be found in the Online Manual.
The CSLP theme/slogan committee has compiled a list of your 2026 theme and 2025 slogan suggestions. Thank you for all the wonderful theme and slogan ideas! Attached is the list of themes<https://drive.google.com/file/d/1SGJ48UgEg7Xs0qL9-oDr-Ro25nv5iXYf/view?usp=sharing> that are ready for voting and slogans that have been grouped together for wordsmithing. Wordsmithing the 2025 slogan will be the focus of our May listening sessions. We invite you to join us for the wordsmithing sessions that will be held in May. We have 2 date/times to choose from. This is a chance for libraries to have their voices heard in creating the final slogan list that will be voted on in August at the Annual CSLP Meeting! We encourage everyone to join and speak as they feel comfortable. During and after the sessions we will have resources available for you to share your input on a provided google document.
There is no need to register for the sessions.

MiLibraryQuest Summer 2022
Your library is invited to participate in the Summer 2022 MiLibraryQuest for teens. It is SUPER easy for a library to participate and we had 110 teens from across the state submit entries last summer. Following library closures in spring 2020 and a shift to virtual programming, a group of librarians from throughout the state began meeting to collaborate on virtual teen programming. We created MiLibraryQuest, a virtual scavenger hunt, for all teens throughout the state as a summer event. We have now offered four Quests with hundreds of teens participating. Our next Quest will be held this summer from June 15 through July 31.
Sunday, May 1 is the deadline for libraries to sign up to participate: https://bit.ly/MiLibraryQuest2022SignUp<https://gcc02.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fbit.ly%2FMiLibraryQuest2022SignUp&data=05%7C01%7CLancasterC5%40michigan.gov%7Cc3bb6e8b8bd74f238dff08da23c9bd5d%7Cd5fb7087377742ad966a892ef47225d1%7C0%7C0%7C637861647216718596%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C3000%7C%7C%7C&sdata=KuwpS5z8ODaF9hZ9Fwc7k31TNc0sdBn7Vb5GgwyI0Xk%3D&reserved=0>
The theme of MiLibraryQuest Summer 2022 is "Treasures of the Deep." This Quest will challenge teen explorers to complete a crossword puzzle by finding clues on the websites of Michigan libraries. Answers to the puzzle will include famous pirates, real shipwrecks, and mythological monsters.
Teens will collect clues from the websites of participating libraries, solve the crossword puzzle, and enter to win a prize from their library.
All you have to do as a library is:
* Place the MiLibraryQuest logo and a library-specific clue (which will be provided by the Quest team) on your website
* Promote the event to your teens (Promotional materials will be available from the Quest team.)
* Award at least one prize to a teen from your library who completes the Quest (The prize is up to you!)

Come As You Are: Getting Started with EDI Committees in Your Library
Indiana State Library
Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) Committees are a great first step towards strategically ensuring that those facing barriers to library services in our communities are given access and opportunities. During this webinar, three different libraries will share their experiences with starting, maintaining, and moving forward with EDI committees. They'll share what inspired them to begin, how they formed the committee, where they are now, and how they hope to keep growing in the future.
Recording is available here: https://continuinged.isl.in.gov/come-as-you-are-getting-started-with-edi-committees-in-your-library-1-leu/<https://gcc02.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fcontinuinged.isl.in.gov%2Fcome-as-you-are-getting-started-with-edi-committees-in-your-library-1-leu%2F&data=04%7C01%7Clancasterc5%40michigan.gov%7C7b22e3562b124e01f7b208da0cf39f6c%7Cd5fb7087377742ad966a892ef47225d1%7C0%7C0%7C637836537737181293%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C3000&sdata=ArE0BT9YfYfYckO%2FVy8ZzJxdM74JW65wEquE1SLQXJA%3D&reserved=0> The resources are also linked on that page.
