[Michlib-l] Reading Recommendation Help

I second the recommendation of the Disc World series. Intricate and zany, and light on relationships that could be triggering.

Rick Riordan's Marcus Chase series has an interesting take on Norse mythology, but the relationships could be a problem. You could have the patron look at them.

Have to confess that I haven't yet read Neil Gaiman's Norse Mythology book, so don't know what might be a problem. He does have some disturbing themes.

Maybe the Disc World Series by Terry Pratchett. I think those could work because there are so many of them, generally light hearted and amusing.

Hello beautiful hive mind,

Our patron asked for recommendations for her 16 year old grandson and I could use some help putting together a more extensive list for her.

  * He was abused as a young child and can become triggered by relationships
  *   He enjoys SF/Fantasy
  * Has a special interest in Norse mythology
  *   Is transgender

I appreciate any ideas that you have. Thank you so much!
