Pride and Prejudice: Seeking LGBTQ+ Titles to Diversify Collections<https://www.slj.com/story/pride-and-prejudice-seeking-lgbtq-titles-to-diversify-collections> - SLJ
As librarians seek to diversify their collections and ensure that all students feel seen and welcome, here are some notable new LGBTQ+ titles and resources to be aware of.

Detroit Zoo
Coming soon... MI summer reading participant coupons! I'm told we'll be getting details in the coming days.
Meanwhile, the Zoo will be offering virtual World Oceans Day programming on Wednesday, June 8th, that will feature keeper talks with staff who care for polar bears, penguins, and sea otters. These videos will also be uploaded to the Zoo's YouTube<https://www.youtube.com/user/DETROITZOO/featured> channel for all to enjoy after this date. The Detroit Zoo would love it if libraries tuned in with their live questions or shared the videos on their library's Facebook pages.

Survey
Trauma in the Library: Symptoms of PTSD Among Staff and Methods for Ensuring Trauma-Informed Care<https://ischooluw.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_daNlDrbA027ID6C>
You are invited to participate in a web-based online survey<https://ischooluw.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_daNlDrbA027ID6C> on Trauma in the Library. "Trauma in the Library" is the first nationwide study of how library staff experience trauma as part of their daily work. Funded by the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS: RE-246341-OLS-20), the aims of this two-year project, are to understand the types of situations that create workplace stress for library staff; the range and prevalence of PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder) factors that library staff experience; recommend appropriate trauma-informed care methods for library staff; and design MLIS curricula on trauma-informed care for library staff. This is open to current or former library employees who worked in or for libraries associated with the United States.
This is a research project under the primary investigator Dr. Karen Fisher, being conducted by Lexa Gambrill, a research coordinator at the University of Washington. It should take approximately 10-15 minutes to complete.

Take care,
