Greetings - following up on if Libraries in Michigan can help the Department of State to promote the critical need for more poll workers in Michigan for the November election, as well as the opportunity for your members and supporters to sign-up to serve through the state's non-partisan MVP poll worker recruitment program.
Election clerks are staffing and training now, so it's the perfect time to share this opportunity. Looking forward to hearing from you on this.
Our MVP stakeholder toolkit with resources for your team to help spread the word (graphics, newsletter language, etc.) is available online on our website, Michigan.gov/DemocracyMVP<https://www.michigan.gov/sos/resources/initiatives/democracy-mvp> (under "Stakeholder Resources"). Please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions on this.
Many thanks!

Subject: MI Poll Worker Recruitment
Greetings,
I'm reaching out on behalf of the Michigan Department of State to ask for help from Libraries in Michigan in addressing our state's critical need for more poll workers for the November Election in Michigan. Local clerks are seeking workers with skills in organization, customer service, project management and computer software and technology, and typically hire and train workers one to two months in advance of Election Day - so now is the best time to share this opportunity.
To meet this need, the Michigan Department of State relies on valued partners, like Libraries in Michigan, to help spread the word and encourage their members and supporters to sign-up through the state's non-partisan poll worker recruitment program, Democracy MVP<http://www.michigan.gov/DemocracyMVP>. We kindly ask for your help to promote this great need and the opportunity to serve by encouraging your members, networks and supporters to sign-up at Michigan.gov/DemocracyMVP<http://www.Michigan.gov/DemocracyMVP>.
Attached to this email, you will find a stakeholder toolkit (also available online here<http://www.michigan.gov/DemocracyMVP>) for our statewide, non-partisan election worker recruitment program, Democracy MVP. This toolkit contains sample graphics and language available for your use in promoting this opportunity, as well as a list of Frequently Asked Questions about working elections in Michigan and the Democracy MVP program.
I extend our sincere gratitude to you for your help in this important matter, and for your continued partnership with our office. Thank you, and please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions.
Sincerely,
Sarah Reinhardt
