[Michlib-l] Program question about adult literacy

Good afternoon everyone,

I am sifting through anonymous responses from a survey I gave to patrons following an event, and there were two suggestions for programs on teaching adults how to read. I would like to try this for one night just to see what the turnout is like. If anyone has hosted an adult literacy program before, can you give me some info?

Did you yourself teach, or did you have an outside programmer come in to lead the class?
Was this officially affiliated with a school, university, program, etc?
How did you choose the materials?
