[Michlib-l] Macs at public libraries?

One thing to consider, assuming you can find a public or university library with Macs that the patron can go to: will the library allow software to be downloaded and installed on their computers? We’re a Windows library here, running Deep Freeze to lock down the public computers. If a library system has Macs they might also have Deep Freeze or another reboot-to-restore software installed that doesn’t allow non-administrator accounts the capability of installing software.
