Community College Librarians,


You are invited to participate in a survey conducted by Molly Ledermann and Sandy McCarthy, Faculty Librarians at Washtenaw Community College in Ann Arbor, MI. The focus of this survey is to address:

  *   The current status of Michigan community college librarians’ job flexibility
  *   Perceptions of Michigan community college librarians regarding job flexibility
  *   The relationship between job flexibility and job performance.





What is the purpose of the survey:

The purpose of this survey is to find out the current status of Michigan community college librarians' work-life-balance and job flexibility as an outcome of the Pandemic by sharing personal narratives and survey results.  Your participation is very important to our presentation.



Who can participate in the survey:

Michigan community college librarians and administrators who currently work full-time and part-time.



The results of the survey will only be shared at the MiALA Annual Conference in Holland, MI panel presentation “Finding Balance in Job Flexibility: Views from Michigan Community Colleges” May 2023.



Risks: There are no known risks currently to participate in this research study.

Costs: There are no costs to you for participation in this research study.

Compensation: There is no compensation for completing the survey.

Institutional Board Approval

This study has been reviewed and approved by the Washtenaw Community College’s Institutional Review Board.



Confidentiality

No identifiable information will be collected. Responses will be completely anonymous, as we will not collect any personal- or institutional- identifying data, nor will we analyze or report data in any way that might compromise individual identity.



Voluntary Participation/Withdrawal

Taking part in this research study is voluntary. You may choose not to participate, or if you decide to participate, you can change your mind later and withdraw from the study.
