We know you love libraries. And it's no secret that libraries have been under fire lately, despite their importance in each community they serve. This means your support is needed now more than ever. At the Library of Michigan Foundation, we raise funds to support the Library of Michigan's efforts to preserve our state's history, improve access to quality information at all libraries throughout our great state, and promote a life-long joy of reading.

Each year we also celebrate authors with our Michigan Notable Books program, recognizing writers who are either from Michigan or who have written about our state.  Their books are not only honored at our annual Night for Notables event in April, but a sizeable number of their creators participate in author tours to libraries throughout Michigan where they can further spark the joy of reading, encourage folks to discover more about the amazing state we live in, and inspire some to think about putting pen to paper.
