[Michlib-l] MeL Minute: Highlight Community Art and Architecture with MeL

Michigan is full of opportunities to enjoy art—from excellent museums and formal events such as Art Prize in Grand Rapids to art hops, walks, and shows at local libraries. Recently, I visited Brandon Township Public Library<https://www.brandonlibrary.org/> and Bridgman Public Library<https://bridgmanlibrary.com/>, both of which have dedicated showcases for local artists to display their work. Kalamazoo Public Library hosts a monthly Tiny Reference Desk Concert<https://www.kpl.gov/event/tiny-reference-desk-concert/> which is similar to NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert<https://www.npr.org/series/tiny-desk-concerts/> series. For libraries that are looking to promote creative outlets to their patrons, the Michigan eLibrary<https://mel.org/welcome> (MeL) includes Art & Architecture Source<https://widgets.ebscohost.com/prod/customerspecific/mel/auth.php?database=ebsco-asu>, an eResource with publications to support creative vocations and passions throughout the community.
Professional Journals
