 Hi everyone,

I am the Chair of the MLA Awards committee. I encourage you to nominate a
co-worker, colleague, mentor, mentee, or your library hero for an MLA
Award. New this year is the Intellectual Freedom Award, to be given to a
library that has promoted and/or protected intellectual freedom and the
right to read.

We've streamlined the application form to make it easier to submit a
nomination. The deadline for nominations is July 16 and awards will be
presented at the MLA Conference in Kalamazoo in October.

I am happy to answer any questions you might have about the nomination
process and packet.  Please consider making someone's day by recognizing
their great work with a nomination for one of these awards.
