[Michlib-l] Drop Box Designs

Hi all!

My board is bored with how plain our outside return box is. It blends into
our building and we have some patrons who don't realize it's there. We were
hoping to open up a contest to the community, maybe contact the local
college and high school art departments, too. Whichever design is chosen
will be submitted to the graphic design shop across the street from us, and
they'd be able to print out a wrap that "should last forever."  I'm excited
for the idea to get the community involved in the library, but I'm not sure
how to run a contest like this, as I haven't done one before.

So for those of you who have had art contests for your library, what was
your process? Were there any prizes for the winners? Did you pay the artist
for their design?
