Trustee Training 102: Advanced Trustees - May 16, 2023, 1:00pm-3:00pm (ET) - As the governing body of a public library, library trustees often have to handle situations involving personnel, public finance, politics, and other issues that could have significant consequences if dealt with incorrectly.

Participants in this session will:

  *   Discuss the primary sources of library funding in Michigan.
  *   Identify a library board's role in issues such as intellectual freedom.
  *   Determine appropriate roles and duties for board officers.
