Located in the heart of Downtown Fort Wayne, the Main Library Children's Services Department is a destination for children and their grown-ups. With a 2,000-square-foot StoryScape imaginative play center, bubbling saltwater and freshwater tanks, an impressive Reading Tower, and even a 250-seat theater our library space encourages children to discover and explore.  Our robust collection of materials, vibrant programming, and well-established community partnerships reflect the diversity of the community we serve.

We are currently searching for a capable and compassionate manager to lead a staff of ten as they impact the lives of youth in our community. The Children's Services Manager is responsible for the management of the planning, coordination, and implementation of professional library services to children, caregivers, and youth-serving organizations in the Main Library Children's Services Department.

Requirements and Qualifications
*         Master's Degree in Library Sciences; AND four (4) years of professional librarian experience;
*         State of Indiana Public Librarian Certification
*         Valid Driver's License.
*         Preferred: fluency in Spanish, Burmese, or other local languages.
Compensation & Benefits
*         Compensation starts at $55K per year and up based on experience
