The West Bloomfield Township Public Library has an opening for a part-time
Youth Programming Associate at the Westacres Branch Library. Please see
below for details:

POSITION: Youth Programming Associate (Early Childhood Focus). Part-time
(24 hours per week). Includes evening and weekend hours (Saturday/Sunday).

QUALIFICATIONS: Associate’s degree in child development or Associate’s
degree in education with emphasis on early childhood or equivalent degree
is preferred; other degrees related to the position and combined with
relevant experience will be considered. 1-2 years of experience working
with children ages birth to five years old, preferably in an educational or
library setting. Experience and expertise in programming, especially for
parents, caregivers and children from birth to five. Strong interpersonal
skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Extensive programming for children birth to five, parents
and caregivers; Provide customer service and some reader’s advisory to
patrons of all ages at a central service desk; Collection development and
maintenance of the Library’s realia collection and the development of
in-house youth learning activities.

SALARY RANGE: $19.10 - $23.50 per hour depending on qualifications
