[CSLP Color Our World Program Submission Contest]<https://www.cslpreads.org/submit-a-programming-idea/>

Help us Color Our World : Colorea Nuestro Mundo in 2025 by submitting your brilliant, fun, and educational programs for 2025's manual!

CSLP is running a contest for the most creatively unique program ideas around the 2025 theme, Color Our World, submitted by public library staff. The contest will run from now until September 30th, 2023. We want your ideas that are filled with all the colors! Our very own Managing Editor, Alyssa Graybeal, will choose one program from each category (children, teens, and adults), and one contributor of early literacy books and songs that best captures the theme. Program ideas submitted with photos (that the submitter owns the copyright to or are proven copyright free) have the highest chances of winning.

The winner in each category will get a coupon for $50 worth of merchandise in our store. You can purchase some great Adventure Begins at Your Library merchandise for 2024!

Use the submission form to submit your program ideas here: https://www.cslpreads.org/submit-a-programming-idea/. There is no limit on the number of ideas a library can submit, but we're looking for high-quality, creative, colorful program concepts over quantity.

2026 Slogan and 2027 Theme Listening Session
Last Chance!
Friday, September 08 ~ 3pm Eastern

Talk up your favorite 2026 Slogan and 2027 Theme from the vetted and translated voting slate.

How are the Listening Sessions different from the previous Wordsmithing sessions? The longer list of possible slogans has now been reviewed for copyright, trademark and translated into Spanish. We will not be tweaking verbiage or revising the options at this stage. These sessions are YOUR opportunity to build support for your favorites.

State Reps will be listening and then casting their votes at the CSLP Virtual Annual Meeting. Make sure to reach out to your state rep<https://www.cslpreads.org/member-libraries/> by September 13 and let them know your favorites too! (You can email me at LancasterC5 at Michigan.gov<mailto:LancasterC5 at Michigan.gov?subject=CSLP%202026%20Slogan%20and%202027%20Theme>)

Please join us for the last of the listening sessions:

CSLP Survey Closes Friday, September 8th
CSLP has created a survey so they can better assess the usefulness of the materials offered by the program on a national level. We still invite you to fill out the survey even if you did not use "All Together Now" as your theme.
After the survey closes, we will randomly select 5 MI libraries to win logoed MeL playing cards!
The survey can be found here: https://forms.gle/5N2agGJmmeqWodJh6
If you would like to view the survey in PDF form, you can find that here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1C_QDDsfEuTaHEE2pcuw3WV77RcTpmGQK/view?usp=sharing
FAQs
Who should complete this survey?
The audience for the survey is public library staff who played an active role in administering or running 2023 summer library programming. One person per library could fill it out, or multiple library staff from the same library could complete the sections of the survey most relevant to their work; e.g. children, teen, or adult programs.
  * Please coordinate with your colleagues on who will fill it out, especially if you are in a multi-branch system.
  * This does NOT need to be filled out by Directors. (Adult/YA/Children program overseers can complete their own portions.)
Is this survey required?
No, it is not required, but we would appreciate your input. Every library that responds helps us get a more accurate picture of overall satisfaction with the program.
I want to be prepared. What info will I need to provide?
  *   General feedback on using (or not) the 2023 program theme and materials;
   * Feedback and info about how/whether you tracked participation, as well as stats for participation and programming for children (ages 0-11), teens (12-18) and adults.
You may skip any questions for which you don't have the answers. I suggest you wait until your summer program has ended to complete the survey.
When does the survey close?
The survey is open from now until Friday, September 8, 2023.
This project was made possible in part by the Institute of Museum and Library Services through the Library of Michigan.
