Hello Library Peeps,
Last week, the Commerce Township Community Library was visited by Emily
Cord Duthinh who presented “Finding Edith: Surviving the Holocaust in Plain
Sight.” The program is based on the book of the same name which tells the
story of her mother, the late Edith Mayer Cord.
It’s an incredible story of survival, and one of the rare Holocaust stories
to include family pictures to go along with the story. As a presenter,
Emily tells her mother’s story with passion, and seems genuinely proud to
carry on her mother’s legacy. I highly recommend this program, especially
given Emily’s rare perspective as the daughter of a Holocaust survivor.
She accepted an honorarium from our library, but contact her at this email
