Exploring Careers in the Law Programs for high school students
The Michigan Supreme Court Learning Center is offering its annual Exploring Careers in the Law moot court programs for high school students (rising 10th graders through 2024 graduates) in Lansing (June [cid:image004.jpg at 01DA97EF.E4CF9C00] 24-28) and Detroit (July 26). The application can be downloaded from courts.mi.gov/learningcenter<https://courts.mi.gov/learningcenter>. The first page of the application can also be used as a flyer<https://www.courts.michigan.gov/493e46/siteassets/msc-learning-center/exploringcareersinthelaw-mootcourt.pdf> to display in your libraries or pass out to students. CCBC Diversity Statistics
The Cooperative Children's Book Center (CCBC) recently updated its annual Diversity Statistics<https://ccbc.education.wisc.edu/literature-resources/ccbc-diversity-statistics/>. This year's data includes 3,491 books published in 2023 for children and teens and received by CCBC. Since 1994, the CCBC has been documenting books for youth about Black, Indigenous, and people of color (BIPOC). In 2018, they also began documenting additional aspects of identity, including disability, LGBTQ+, and religion.
2024 SFSP Annual Training
The 2024 Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) Annual Training dates are now available. Information will be provided on all the latest regulations and what it takes to operate a successful SFSP. There is no cost for this training. Remember, sponsors are required to complete one in-person training every three years to remain in compliance. All new sponsors to the SFSP are required to attend. 2024 Climate Action Symposium Survey

This survey<https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/CKK38BL> is to inform the design of the 2024 Climate Action Symposium: Exploring Collaborations with Libraries, Community-Based Organizations, and Public Health Agencies
The symposium is part of a project (Building Resilient Communities) funded by the National Science Foundation and led by the Space Science Institute and its STAR Library Network. Project partners include OCLC WebJunction, University of North Carolina Greensboro, and Interactive Learning Dynamics. The focus of the survey is on public library STEM learning programs and activities related to climate change science, climate change's impacts on public health, and community sustainability and/or resiliency. The estimated time needed to complete this survey is 9 minutes. All information you provide will be completely confidential. Data will only be shared in aggregate through reports and papers – no personally identifiable information will be shared.
