Are you going to MiALA on Wednesday, May 15th?

Why not stop in a bit early and start learning more about digital collections, and how you can get more support to move materials online!

The WMU Libraries, in partnership with the Library of Michigan, the Michigan Service Hub (DPLA), and the Michigan Digital Preservation Network, invites you to join a workshop on May 15th, from 3-5PM at the Zhang Legacy Collections Center<https://wmich.edu/library/visit/zhang> on WMU's campus.

Hear a lively presentation designed to help you better share your digital collections, learn about new digital collections tools, and hear from our statewide experts how you can take advantage of statewide programs and support. Presenters will walk attendees through available project planning tools, workflows, and software for getting collections from physical items on a shelf to accessible and protected digital assets. Gain a better understanding of what services are available to assist in your project, and how to make collections more discoverable and sustainable in partnership. Hear from WMU how they have utilized these services, and some examples of how leveraging expertise can advance digital initiatives.

The event is FREE but registration is required: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/8050F45A4AC29A3FE3-49321454-building. The event is within walking distance of the MiALA mixer held on Friday night, and has easily accessible parking.
