Hello!
We have a few programs coming up in June with plenty of available space
should you or your patrons be interested in attending:
*Normal Cognitive Decline vs. Dementia: When to Worry *
Tuesday, 06/04/2024 2-3pm TPL Meeting Room
This presentation focuses on cognitive changes, separating the normal
age-related cognitive changes we are all likely to experience, from
Dementia. Many specific examples are included so people leave with a very
clear idea of what is worrisome and what is not. This presentation also
includes tips for interacting with loved ones with dementia and information
on caregiver stress and burnout. Presented by Evie Breuer LMSW, CDP and
Joely Lyons, LMSW, CHC.

*The American Army in Normandy: Omaha Beach to the Falaise Gap*
Thursday, 06/06/2024 6:30-8pm TPL Meeting Room
June 6, 2024 marks the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings along the
Normandy coast during World War II. Historian Jim Craft will discuss the
key events of June 6th and the dramatic campaign that concluded with the
closing of the Falaise Gap on August 21, 1944 and the near total
destruction of the German army in Normandy.

*Shockwaves from Stonewall*
Thursday, 06/27/2024 6:30-8pm TPL Meeting Room
In the presentation 'Shockwaves from Stonewall: Gay Liberation in
Michigan,' historian Tim Retzloff explores the pioneering surge of LGBTQ+
activism in Metro Detroit and elsewhere in Michigan during the early 1970s
sparked by the 1969 Stonewall Uprising in New York City.
