Your voice holds the power to make a difference! If you’re knowledgeable of, or responsible for, the care and preservation of analog audiovisual material, join our friends at BAVC Media in taking the Mapping the Magnetic Media Landscape Survey<https://ga9rmr10qsn.typeform.com/to/M7MkWseL>. Please complete and submit your responses by May 31, 2024.

The questions will inquire about your role, archive you work with and its audience, the training you and your colleagues have, and your organization’s digitization workflows and policies. The purpose of this survey is to develop an expansive, data driven understanding of the field of analog audiovisual media digitization and conservation in the United States. The resulting data will be used to identify and respond to our greatest challenges in the changing field of audiovisual preservation.

Upon submitting your responses, you will receive access to “Ask BAVC Preservation Anything” sessions. These offerings will be free community working sessions where you can ask our team your toughest technical questions and connect with other survey respondents!

As a thank you for your participation, all survey responders receive access to three online courses in magnetic media preservation called Ask BAVC Preservation Anything. These online forums, led by BAVC’s team of preservation specialists, bring cultural workers and technicians together to answer your real-world preservation questions and challenges.
