We polled our community at the end of 2023 to find out if they wanted the library to be open or closed on Juneteenth. It is a very diverse community and we wanted to be respectful. Overwhelmingly, the response was to be open, so the library was open. We offered programming on the topic of Juneteenth, and it was one of our best circulation and door count days of the year.
