Hello Michlib!

Please join us at 1:00 PM, Saturday, November 30th as we welcome Ellen
Green for Vikings: Fearsome Raiders & Adventurous Traders.

Vikings are best known for being fearsome raiders. But they were also
adventurous traders who established a vast trade network that spanned from
Byzantium to Dublin to Newfoundland to Greenland. Join archaeologist Ellen
Green in looking at the evidence the Vikings left in their far reaching
voyages of plunder and trade.


Ellen has been a frequent presenter for Baldwin. She is a PhD researcher at
the University of Reading in England, specializing in human remains. Prior
to her return to academia she was a field archaeologist in London for 5
years, and she has worked on sites from every period in the city's history.
Ellen developed a love of archaeology through many visits to Roman ruins
and castles in the UK over many vacations, which inspired a fascination
with the past. She is also a big fan of Indiana Jones. Registration
