Hello all,
Last week I sent out an email about Library vending machines and while many
libraries seem to be interested in learning more about this service, only
one library who responded (Royal Oak!) is in the process of getting one so
I will share that information here.

We are in the process of getting ours from Envisionware, so I can’t answer
all of your questions yet, but I will give you what I’ve got!

How much did the vending machine cost?

   - $27,855, just for the machine. It holds up to 200 items.

What is the class of your library?

   - Class 6

If your vending machine is located at a private business, do you have an
agreement with them? What sort of details does that include?

   - We will be putting it in a local supermarket. We are handling
everything- stocking, support, etc. They are providing us with the space &
   internet connection.
   - Our agreement states there are not charges for keeping it there, and
it gives us both a timeline to remove the machine if one party chooses to
   end the agreement.

Does your vending machine have an insurance policy?

   - It will be insured with our city’s insurance.

How successful has the vending machine been?

   - Well it isn’t in place yet, so we don’t have results!
