SENIOR LIBRARIAN - TEENS DEPARTMENT - MAIN LIBRARY

Are you a dynamic and creative librarian with a passion for working with teens? We are seeking an enthusiastic Senior Librarian for our vibrant Teens Department at the Main Library Downtown. In this role, you'll design and deliver engaging programs, crafts, and activities that spark creativity, critical thinking, and a love of reading. You'll provide reader’s advisory, reference services, and innovative library experiences tailored to young adults. Building meaningful connections with teens is at the heart of this position, as you'll foster a welcoming space where they feel supported and inspired. This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week position, and will be required to work a mix of day, evening, and weekend hours.

While this candidate may work in either the Children's or Teen departments, they will typically be stationed in the Teen's department.

REQUIRMENTS


  *
Master’s Degree in Library Science

     *   One (1) year of library operations experience; AND two (2) years of teen programming or educational experience, OR an equivalent combination of training and experience
     *   State of Indiana Public Librarian Certification (LC 1, 2, or 3)
     *   Valid Driver's License

Compensation & Benefits

     *   Compensation starts at $48K per year and up based on previous related and comparable experience.
