The Milaan Foundation's The Becoming Initiative
We are thrilled to introduce The Becoming Initiative — a year-long leadership and well-being program designed to support young people ages 14–18 from underserved communities. This program aims to nurture the next generation of changemakers by combining mental wellness, social-emotional learning, and future-readiness skills in an engaging, holistic framework. As you may have heard in our initial email to members in June and at our Membership Meeting at ALA Annual, ALSC and YALSA will be reunifying. YALSA will dissolve on August 31, 2026 and the two divisions will be reunified on September 1, 2026.
