HSM's New Partnership With MLive Shines a Spotlight on Michigan's Historical
Destinations!

The Historical Society of Michigan is partnering with MLive newspapers,
formerly Booth Newspapers, to provide readers with detailed information
about the hundreds of historical destinations throughout Michigan. Each
week, the MLive "Travel" pages will feature one of the 475-plus museums,
historic sites, and history attractions that are listed in HSM's Historic
Michigan Travel Guide. The MLive papers are The Ann Arbor News, The Bay City
Times, The Flint Journal, The Grand Rapids Press, Jackson Citizen Patriot,
Kalamazoo Gazette, Muskegon Chronicle, and The Saginaw News.

Each historical destination that is featured is chosen from the Travel
Guide, and all sections of the state will be represented: Western, Central,
Eastern, Northern, and Upper Peninsula. The articles contain a brief
description; a photo; details on location, hours, admission cost, and
visitor accessibility; and contact information of the historical
destination.

This partnership with MLive is another benefit for our member organizations,
and it focuses on one of our five mission points: support for local history
organizations. Plus, this is a great opportunity for the public to learn
more about Michigan's diverse heritage and cultures. It's another way that
HSM is keeping Michigan's history at everyone's fingertips.
