Hi all,

"Si quaeris peninsulam amoenam, circumspice", is Latin for "If you seek a pleasant peninsula, look about you." (our state motto). It and nearly everything Michigan can be found in the MeL database<http://mel.org/Databases> Michigana, Sources in U.S. History Online<http://www.galesupport.com/migeoipcheck/migeoipcheck-gale.php?database=SMIH> found in Teens Homework Help<http://teens.mel.org/MeLHomeworkHelp> and the Michigana Gateway<http://mel.org/Michigana>. This digital archive draws from the Sabin Americana collection and other resources to include material useful to researchers from high school student to college professor. Memoirs, pamphlets, images, speeches, primary source documents – are all included. Construct your own search or choose from listed topics to begin your research. In Advanced Search, select from over 25 document types and six different types of illustrated works. The possibilities are endless and you may be surprised at how much there is to learn about the great state of Michigan. Michigan, my Michigan. Michigan residents or Michigan library access only.

MeL Minutes are brought to you by the Library of Michigan. Want more information on MeL? Stay tuned for next week’s MeL Minute available on many Michigan library listservs, email us at contact at mel.org<mailto:contact at mel.org> or visit mel.org<http://mel.org/>. We encourage you to share MeL Minutes with your public service colleagues.
