Apply by June 1st for a Teen Read Week Grant!
Ten $1,000 grants will be distributed to libraries to support their literacy focused TRW activities.  For details or to access the application, visit http://teenreadweek.ning.com/page/grants. Go to a Conference for Free!
Between now and June 15th, apply for $1,000 to defray the cost of travel to YALSA's YA Services Symposium, which will be held Nov. 6 - 8, 2015, in Portland, OR.  Learn more, view the preliminary program and register at www.ala.org/yalsa/yasymposium<http://www.ala.org/yalsa/yasymposium>.

New Grant Opportunity
The Margaret Edwards Trust Literacies Programming Grant awards $5,000 for a library to use towards launching a new or expanding an existing successful program to help teens master text-based literacies. Up to five grants will be awarded in 2015.  Successful applicants will address teen needs beyond traditional print reading comprehension and be inclusive of activities that help teens build skills to successfully navigate text-based literacies in both a print and an online world.
