Position:              Librarian (primary location, Walsh College, Troy Campus)

Reports to:         Director, Library

FLSA:                     Exempt

Major
Responsibilities:
*       Provide reference services, bibliographic instruction, online searching and individual instruction to patrons.
*       Catalog new items to the library collection.
*       Weed the collection of outdated materials.
*       Assist in the creating and maintaining library research guides (LibGuides).
*       Coordinate with faculty and staff to select appropriate materials for curriculum development, projects and/or research.
*       Keep current with library databases, search features and general reference sources.

Minimum
Requirements:
*       MS in Library Science or equivalent degree from an ALA accredited institution required.
*       Ability to deliver classroom and library based instruction, small group learning experiences and one-on-one teaching/learning experiences that are appropriate to the learner required.
*       Experience working with serials and journals required.
*       Strong track record of patron service.
*       Proficiency with online databases, Internet searches, and library related technology required.
*       Excellent organizational skills.
*       Excellent interpersonal, written and presentation communication skills required.
*       Knowledge of business collection a plus.
*       Must be available to work some evenings and rotational Saturday hours.
*       Must be able to travel to other campuses (local).
