National Reading Group Month Author Celebration will take place at the Berkley Public Library (3155 Coolidge in Berkley) on Tuesday, October 13 at 6:30 p.m. Free program is open to all! Please share the attached flyer with your patrons.
Susan Crandall and Mardi Jo Link will take part in a Q&A moderated by local author Willetta Heising, past president of WNBA Detroit. Books will be available for purchase from Book Beat of Oak Park, with signing to take place after the program. To register, visit http://goo.gl/2oHwbP or call 248-658-3440. Seating is limited to 75.
Susan Crandall's latest novel is a saga of 1920s barnstorming America featuring a World War I pilot, a daredevil debutante and a Midwestern farm boy. She is the award-winning author of ten other titles, including Whistling Past the Graveyard. She still lives in Noblesville, Indiana, where she grew up and met her husband. They are the parents of two and grandparents of four.
Mardi Jo Link
After graduating from Michigan State with a degree in journalism and agriculture, Mardi Jo Link took a job as a crime reporter for a daily paper in New England. She and her husband returned to Michigan to raise their three sons on a farm, which later resulted in her memoir, Badass, a Michigan Notable Book. Her latest memoir follows eight women to Drummond Island for one weekend a year over two decades.
Hope to see you there!
