[Michlib-l] Staff Pay and Raises

I was asked to clarify what I meant by Library Assistant. At my Library they are individuals without their MLS that perform "professional" duties. They are in charge of MeL, programming, cataloging and general library tasks (i.e. check in/out, shelving, overdue notices, desk work, etc.).

I am hoping to gain some insight into salaries and raises, especially for Class 4 libraries. How much an hour do your Library Assistants make? How often do they receive raises? How much more an hour more do they get when they do receive a raise?
