We accept the digital barcodes after verifying identity one time with driver's license/state ID.  After verification we place a note on the account that use of the digital barcode is OK for that patron.  So far I've only seen the scannable ones on the app., but we would probably do the same even if it weren't scannable.

Is anyone accepting library card numbers on phones for checking out? If so, do you accept it only if it is on an app and can be scanned? What is your policy/procedure?
