Wandoo Reader: As we announced earlier this month, the Library of Michigan has partnered with Demco Software to bring all Michigan public libraries Wandoo Reader. This means your library will be able to create, track, report, and customize your own database for Summer Reading, 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten, Adult winter clubs, etc. at no cost. Library Directors are asked to sign-up for a Wandoo Reader account by contacting me. Anyone interested may register now for an informational webinar on Wednesday, November 1st at 11:00 AM EST, (it will be archived if you can't attend live) at http://go.demcosoftware.com/l/189162/2017-10-16/69l1l.
In this informational demo, you'll learn about:
- Easy and fast program setup
- Enhanced reporting features
- How the challenge feature keeps readers engaged
- How the powerful, game-like experience makes reading more fun

Ready to Read Michigan: Look for an email from me by early November with details on the new book program we will be launching for public library outreach through our new Ready to Read Michigan initiative on Early Literacy.

Lights On Afterschool: StarNet's report on their project with the Space Science Institute & ALA on their Afterschool Alliance has been released: https://www.starnetlibraries.org/lights-on-afterschool/. The report includes ideas for partnership, challenges, and STEM opportunities.

Upcoming LM Webinars:
These webinars are made possible by grant funds from the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) administered by the State of Michigan through the Library of Michigan.
