*Greetings! Salem-South Lyon District Library is looking for a creative,
passionate, forward-thinking, tech-savvy collaborative team player to help
serve our community as an Adult Services Librarian (part-time)*

We are looking for ..

·            Completion of an ALA accredited MLS program

·            Winning attitude:  enthusiastic, positive public service
oriented team player

·            Initiative:  self-starter, seeks opportunities, uses good
judgment, takes intelligent risks

·            Accountability:  recognizes responsibilities and lives up to
commitments

·            Proficiency with current and trending reader’s advisory

·            Work collaboratively with community individuals, organizations
and institutions.



Who will ..

·            Provide a high level of customer service to all ages through
comprehensive reader’s advisory, reference and  technology assistance

·            Enjoy assisting customers in the use of library resources

·            Assist Head of Adult Services with assigned  tasks, including
but not limited to:

o      Collection Development

o      Programming with an emphasis on enrichment and lifelong learning

o      Connecting with community organizations to promote the library as
value

·           Sensitive to current and trending community needs and
aspirations

·           Seek out alternative funding, i.e. grants, awards

·           Participate in professional organizations, continuing education
and development

·           Other duties as assigned.
