Free webinar: Live and Learn: Collections Emergency Lessons and Training, June 13 at 2:00 pm Eastern.
The Connecting to Collections Care Online Community helps smaller cultural institutions to provide well-informed care for valuable collections. You can find preservation and conservation information, links to resources, access to recorded webinars and online discussions on the website. All content in this Community, with the exception of special courses, is provided for FREE.
* Have you had an emergency that involved your collection?
* Were your colleagues trained and ready to respond? After it was over, did you look at your response? If so, how did you record what you learned?
* What changes did you make to improve your emergency response in the future?
This webinar will help you ensure your Emergency Plan is a living document. It will focus on learning opportunities both before and after emergencies. Ideas for training all staff who work with heritage collections and discussion on how to debrief after actual emergencies will be discussed. Staying in "learning mode" most of the time enables your emergency team to respond competently and creatively when an emergency occurs.
