[Michlib-l] Flower/Gardening Presenter Recommendations

Hi all,

I was asked to send an update with the responses that I received regarding flower/gardening presenter recommendations.

Recommended local resources to contact:

*         Master Gardeners and the local MSU Extensions<https://www.canr.msu.edu/outreach/county> office (***most of my responses were suggestions to contact them)

*         Local flower shops, landscapers, and gardening centers

o   I contacted English Gardens in West Bloomfield and they charge $75 for out-of-store speaking engagements.

*         Local beautification or conservation committees

*         Local garden clubs<https://michigangardenclubs.org/> (some have lists of previous or upcoming speakers on their websites that you can poach)


Recommended presenters:

*         Design Works Flowers<https://designworksflowers.com/> in Rochester (recommended by a local garden club I contacted)

*         Ben Cohen of Small House Farm<http://www.smallhousefarm.com/schedule-ben/>

*         Melinda Hoffman of Lasting Memories Floral Preservation<http://www.lastingmemoriesfloralpreservation.com/>
