Lansing Community College Library is seeking to hire a full time Professional Support - Library Business Specialist to join our team. Individuals who are collaborative, student centered and possess excellent customer service skills are encouraged to apply.

The Library Business Specialist is responsible for a variety of department business functions including library procurement activities, expense reporting, financial & budget support, human resource specialist functions for hiring, onboarding and terminating, data collection and reporting, assisting with travel and meeting arrangements, and maintaining positive relationships with library suppliers, library consortia, area libraries, college accounting, purchasing, HR and library staff in a collegial team environment.

Required


*        Bachelor's degree in a business related field and relevant work experience OR associate's degree in a business related field and 3 years relevant work experience that demonstrates knowledge and understanding of business processes.


*        Experience with purchasing, budgeting and finance systems.


*        Excellent customer service skills.


*        Proficient in MS Office.

Preferred


*        Familiarity with library services


*        Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

This is a 40 hour per week position.
