We keep them because then we have a parental signature that give their children permission to use the computer. 
We keep them forever.Would LOVE to get away from it.

  Hi All,
   Just exploring…do you retain paper library card applications?  If so, for how long?
 
 Also, how has it actually served your library to retain these records (i.e. to prove that a patron signed up or owes fines, etc) ?
