There will be a FREE 45 minute webinar discussing the activities of Library Boards, Staff, Friends' Groups and "Yes" Committees , as they pertain to Millage campaigns for Public Libraries:

"Supporting your Library's Millage Campaign - How to Know your Role"

Looking at obtaining a library millage?
Planning a renewal campaign?

Want to know what a "yes" committee is?
Wondering what the library board and staff can do to help with the campaign without causing trouble?
Are you part of a friends' group  that is wondering if or how your group can help with a millage campaign?

I will  discuss the basic dos and don'ts of millage campaign participation and support for each of these groups.

After this webinar, participants may expect to :

Participants will gain:


  *   A basic understanding of which laws govern political activities of library groups.
  *   Basic knowledge of the "Red Flags" to look for  when considering  ballot question/millage support activities.
  *   Basic knowledge of activities that are permitted for each of these groups,
