In October 2017, the Ypsilanti District Library launched TALK: Text and Learn for Kindergarten, an early literacy text messaging service, with LSTA grant funding. With the support of community partners, the successful project reached over 1,000 families across Washtenaw County via text, offering activities parents could do with children 5 and under to prepare them for school and beyond. Find out more about this pilot project that may become available to libraries statewide in 2021. The webinar link will be emailed to registered attendees the day before the event. This webinar will be recorded and shared with registrants. It is brought to you by the Library of Michigan and supported in part by the Institute of Museum and Library Services.

In the process, we'll consider budgets and staffing needs for libraries of all shapes and sizes. The webinar link will be emailed to registered attendees the day before the event.

Cooking Virtually: Culinary Literacy Programming Online<https://nnlm.gov/class/virtually-cooking/26894> from the Network of the National Library of Medicine.
Sept 17, 3pm ET
Now that we are doing most programs virtually, we have taken our culinary literacy online. Some of the key things to think about are what you will make, copyright, the challenge level of the dish, what types of ingredients to use, including being aware of what fruits and vegetables are in season, what kitchen materials you need, and whether you want to do your videos "live" on a platform like zoom or Facebook live, or post a pre-recorded video. I would like to discuss how to create a virtual program using what I have done here at Horry County Memorial Library, as well as with the State Library of South Carolina.
Virtual Programs for Public Libraries<https://nnlm.gov/class/virtual-programs-public-libraries/26537> from the Network of the National Library of Medicine.
Sept 29, 2pm ET
Do you work in a public library? Are you looking for ideas for virtual programming and outreach? This webinar is for you! We will cover how to decide what virtual programming your community might be interested in, technical requirements for virtual programming, and include a wide variety of program suggestions.
