The Genesee District Library is currently seeking a Temporary Business Librarian at our Grand Blanc-McFarlen branch. This position will have dedicated full-time hours through February 9, 2020. The closing date to apply is  January 7 at 12PM.

JOB SUMMARY

Under the guidance of the Senior Branch Librarian, provides quick reference, detailed research, circulation and reader's advisory assistance.  Provides support services to entrepreneurs and small businesses. Provides one-on-one and group training for library patrons and staff; works with Community Relations Manager to provide programming for adults on entrepreneurial and small business topics. Develops and maintains the business library collection; and performs professional work in reference, collection development, reader's advisory service and other specific fields.

QUALIFICATIONS

*         Master's Degree in Library Science from an American Library Association accredited institution.
*         Experience in business library setting or strong reference skills and proficiency in the business area is a preferred qualification.

HOURS Monday 9AM-5PM, Tuesday 9AM-5PM, Wednesday 12PM-8PM, Thursday 12PM-8PM, Friday OFF, Saturday 9AM-5PM, Sunday OFF

PAY RATE $22.25 per hour
