Here are some of the cool things happening at Capital Area District Libraries:

CENSUS
Outreach Librarian Jill Abood is planning Census Informational Sessions for February and March. While Census Parties  where people can come and fill out their forms online while enjoying refreshments will take place in the spring.

GRAMMYS
We are linking CADL and our hoopla and Library of Things (music instruments) services to this iconic brand and music's biggest night. We secured permission to tag the nationally produced commercials that are running in our market. Graphics were created for our social media sites and website (see attached). An online contest will be held that asks our members to predict the winners of the Record of the Year and Best New Artist categories. Two members who correctly select the winners will receive a prize package valued at $100 each. Some of the prizes will be donated by local businesses. Commercials that feature personalities from two of the market's top radio stations promoting the aforementioned services will run during the Grammy broadcast. A similar campaign will be done for the Oscars.

MID-MICHIGAN WOMEN'S EXPO (Feb. 7-9)
CADL is again partnering with this event that draws over 10,000 women each year. Through a trade agreement, the library will be included in all the event marketing and  receive FREE booth space for all three days of the event. CADL will use this opportunity to create awareness of services and to sign up new members. The hosts of our Reader's Roundtable Podcast will conduct a mainstage presentation which will be shared as a special episode. CADL is also sponsoring speed painting presentations. Over 200 FREE tickets are being given out to our members.
