The Detroit Public Library is entering Phase II of the Reopening Plan in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. While the libraries remain closed to the public, beginning August 1, 2020 customers can pick up reserved items at the Main Library (5201 Woodward/ N of Warren). This Reserved Items Pick-Up will be available by appointment only, Tuesday – Saturday, 1:00 – 5:00 p.m.

To choose (reserve) an item, customers can call 313-481-1400 or visit www.detroitpubliclibrary.org.<http://www.detroitpubliclibrary.org/?fbclid=IwAR365H143lBUAJfak8fQr_9kjWI8QG6quKgIehCW97OEiUvLiLv7JNpzW-o> Once a reserve is placed, wait for a phone call that confirms your item is ready and then schedule a pick up day and time by calling 313-481-1378. All items will be picked up at the Cass Avenue entrance of the Main Library. Be sure to follow the posted instructions. Staff will deliver your items to your vehicle, or you can use our walk up service.
