The Grosse Pointe Public Library recently held a virtual event via Zoom on The Secrets of Spring Bird Migration. Bill Rapai, author of three Michigan notable books, The Kirtland's Warbler: the Story of a Bird's Fight Against Extinction and the People Who Saved it; Lake Invaders: Invasive Species and the Battle for the Future of the Great Lakes and Brewed in Michigan: the New Golden Age of Brewing in the Great Beer State presented the program. He was joined by Rosann Kovalchik, owner of Wild Birds Unlimited in Grosse Pointe Woods. Migration is at it peak in Michigan right now, and the presentation packed a ton of information into a very entertaining hour. You can contact Bill on the Grosse Pointe Audubon webpage (he's president), on GP Audubon Facebook page or brapai at aol.com.
