CSLP: Clarification of Manual Access
On Friday, September 25th all library system directors received an email from me via Mi at countingopinions.com<mailto:Mi at countingopinions.com> with the manual access code to forward to your summer program planning staff. If you did not receive that, please contact me directly from an official work email address. Each library has their own copy of the manual, and to clarify, after speaking to CSLP, it is fine if it is accessed through one www.cslpreads.org<http://www.cslpreads.org> account, or multiple accounts, just so long as it's kept internal at your library!

The CSLP 2021 product catalog will not be mailed to your libraries from LM this Fall, but in addition to the online shop<https://gcc01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.cslpreads.org%2Fcslp-store%2F&data=02%7C01%7CLancasterC5%40michigan.gov%7C143221750bd64b732a1c08d86aef59fe%7Cd5fb7087377742ad966a892ef47225d1%7C0%7C1%7C637376923606886924&sdata=WwNI1Yb7wA4f2bF%2F4JiRz%2FTrs50%2BePPnxi0N37y0%2FfE%3D&reserved=0> here is a link to download the catalog as a PDF: https://www.cslpreads.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/cslp-product-catalog-2021.pdf<https://gcc01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.cslpreads.org%2Fwp-content%2Fuploads%2F2020%2F09%2Fcslp-product-catalog-2021.pdf&data=02%7C01%7CLancasterC5%40michigan.gov%7C143221750bd64b732a1c08d86aef59fe%7Cd5fb7087377742ad966a892ef47225d1%7C0%7C1%7C637376923606886924&sdata=ZzmVEeBQmSsNcKL6P7Z2izyI%2FLMygEngYCvV92WZX4Y%3D&reserved=0>. A package of four bipartisan bills was introduced in the Michigan Senate that would mandate a statewide<https://www.michiganradio.org/post/bipartisan-legislation-introduced-michigan-senate-address-dyslexia> strategy for identifying and providing interventions to students with dyslexia<https://www.michiganradio.org/post/bipartisan-legislation-introduced-michigan-senate-address-dyslexia>, the most common learning disability affecting reading and writing. The bills would equire districts to screen for dyslexia in grades K-3, provide tiered interventions to students identified with dyslexia, and require new teaching candidates to receive instruction about teaching students with dyslexia. They are co-sponsored by Jeff Irwin (D-Ann Arbor), Dayna Polehanki (D-Livonia), Jim Runestad (R-White Lake), and Lana Theis (R-Brighton).
